5:03, I love getting up early for some mommy time :) having my coffee and warming up my brain before I start the day. I love mornings. Starting off a new day. What will God show me today? The given: patience, we practice this every day, but I'm still a work in progress. ;) O we found a new church! It's a great fit for us and they may have a opening on the praise team for Andy. They are very welcoming and remind us of the family feeling we had at our church back at Buckley. We have finally found a house!!! It's a rental in town on a acre, in the middle of a onion field, just remolded, Already has chicken coops, storage sheds and a big garage! The home is a perfect fit for us and there's even a play room that we will gate off and use as a safe room for the kids to stay in so I can tend to Andy during a seizure.
Andy had more seizures last night. His meds which he normally uses before a seizure (if he feels it coming on) normally stop them, or bring him back after one, did not work last night. Hopefully that was just a fluke and it continues to work. At least he didn't fall down or hit his head.
Sadie dog is going to start class soon. We have registered her as a service dog. She already assists the kids and I when we are out by not letting the kids run off and bringing them back if they do but now we are training her to be a seizure alert dog:) did you know 15% of dogs can naturally predict seizures? How cool is that? It would be great if she had that ability but Sadie will be doing a different job. She will bark and alert us if Andy is having a seizure. She will come get me if he sends her or find him if I ask. She will lay on him as he is having a seizure to keep his body safe so he can't injure himself. It's amazing to see how quick she is learning! She is starting to pick up on Andy's attitude and If he needs comfort. She is doing great sticking by his side and is noticing the difference with "normal dad" and "seizure dad". Dogs are just so smart! We are looking forward to starting her class. it's almost a year of training by a local organization that trains veterans dogs specifically for the veterans disability or will give the vet a trained service dog.
I'm looking forward to having our own home and finally be able to settle in so far it feels like we are just on a long vacation. I feel like this will take some stress off our shoulders. I'm ready to just focus on the kids again, even though they are right here I miss them. It's like Iv been here, but haven't really been here with everything that has been going on. This has been tough on them and I'm sure they are confused. Having our own home again will help us get back out our normal routine and make life more comfortable for all of us. Hehe I can't wait for them to get to play with the chickens and help mama get the eggs. There's plenty of room to build a big playground, we are just going to have a blast playing out side there! I know YaYa, Em and Grandpa Rick will miss us dearly but I'm sure they are ready to get their house back from us and our little tornadoes. Hehe Andy and I were joking, our new slogan ," your house wasn't vandalized, the Adams were just here" I'm just so excited! Let me tell you... We have been looking for the right home since we moved here. And here this house is, perfect for us, the lease is even less than a year just in case we do get a house built for us and need to get out early. We move in next week if all goes well, please pray that this is smooth transition!
