Bye bye Army

What have we been up to lately? Well...

In October we left our home in Colorado and our life in the army to move to my home town in California. What a drive that was ;) 2 dogs, a cat, 2 lizards, 4 two year olds and two very tired parents. Thank God for the tv in our mini van, Elmo and the Lorax kept them pretty occupied. Our 3 day trip over the mountains and through the woods landed us at Yayas house, and there we stay. Our plans have changed a bit since we got here. Some of you already know but Andy has a seizure disorder. Well actually he has a anxiety disorder that causes his seizures, so they are non epileptic so technically he has a anxiety disorder, or so they think. Any way this condition started a little over a year ago, only lasted a few months, and the seizures hadn't returned. we thought he was free of these seizures so we put it out of our heads and moved on. On Halloween Andy's seizures returned and he has been having them almost daily since. It hit full force with a 10 min seizure. His normal seizures are under 2 mins. Recently He has started having several in a row, so far the most he has had is 5. Since he blacks out and becomes unconscious during a seizure, and has them randomly, he has fallen and his his head many times. His biggest fall was having a seizure at top of the stairs and landing on his head. Poor guy was trapped, head first, behind the baby gate on the stairs unconscious having a seizure.  It took us a while to get the gate down and him safely on the floor. That landed him in a ambulance (again) and a two day stay in the hospital. Thankfully from falling down 13 stairs and landing on his head, no fractures :)  During this time we are trying to figure out more about and how to stop the seizures Andy is not able to work. We came here ready for him to start at the police academy, but those plans have changed.  We are taking things day by day.  looking for a rental so we can move out of moms. There's a organization we have found that builds homes for disabled veterans adapted to their disability. For us that would mean as seizure proof as possible, a one story home, no stairs at all, rounded edges around the home where possible, wide spaces/walkways and so on. We are in the early stages of working with them to get things moving. First step, finding builders to work with this company. Our real estate agent works with veterans has taken the reins on this project to contact builders and work with this company. :) we are so thankful to have this help!!! Right now we really need your prayers that they will be able to build us a home. That Andy's seizures stop. For our family and friends who are helping and supporting us. I'm just so tired. Times like this I really miss having a thyroid and not always being exhausted. Please pray for my strength, that this foggy brain and fatigue go away. Please pray that no matter how stressed and tired we are we can still be the best parents that we can possibly be to our critters.  So that's the situation that we are in with moving forward, some of it sounds a little negative so here's the positive :) it's AWESOME to finally be back home and around family! Finally!!! The kiddos love to go to Auntie Ccs to play in the dirt, dig for worms then take a bath. Braelynn has actually refused to come home with us several times while we were at Auntie Rianes. Wyatt is potty training! He doesn't wear diapers durning the day, only when he is napping :) he has figured out how to pee standing up and likes to pee on everything outside. I can't get this boy to wear pants or undies, he just wants to be free to pee on what ever tree or plant he can find lol it's progress right? Brae also peepees in the potty from time to time. She is becoming quite the sassy pants. She is not afraid to share her opinion and tell any one around her what she "really thinks" although most of it is in gibberish, she gets the message across strongly. I think she has a future as a drill sergeant.   :) Rylie has been putting things up her nose. Her favorite things to put up there are rubber band hair ties and little balls of wipes. The other day she even put some mashed potatoes up there. She thinks it's so funny when I have to basically preform minor surgery in her nose to get her treasure out.  Sammy is still having trouble eating, so we have been giving her lots of yummy shakes. She has become the biggest chatter box out of the litter. This girl... Every night when we are laying down going to sleep Sammy is just chatting away. All the other kiddos are quiet and half asleep, and Sammy is still talking our ears off! It is just the cutest thing :)  she also likes to pretend she is a puppy or kitty, she meows and even barks hehe.  

They are just doing so great. They are growing, talking, and just so smart. They amaze me every day. Guys I'm not going to sugar coat it, having quadruplets it tough. It's sooo tough. I'm always exhausted, I'm always praying for strength and patience. But you know what? It's also amazing. The love they bring! Their cuteness! The joy of being their mama, that God chose us to be their parents, out of every one He chose us, it just makes me think, all of this, every thing that we have been through, its happening for a reason. I mean come on, normal people don't have this much craziness right?  God need us to be strong, strong as individuals, strong in marriage, and strong in faith. So I guess we will just keep going, praying, and taking it day by day, because some day we will get through this. We will be healthy. We will be strong like He made us to be. 

Ok little rant there^ but now back to it... We love the va care we are getting! We were a little afraid about va care just from rumors that we have heard but our care has been excellent! The staff at the hospitals/clinics are great, our docs are wonderful, they handle things in a timely manner, we are very pleased with our care :)

I got a new horse and She is awesome! She's a 6 year old spotted saddle horse. Iv never been into gaited horses but let me tell you, she is the perfect for my back. Her gaits are wonderful and she is very smooth. She's pretty green which I like so I can take her in the direction I want. It's been about 7 years since Iv worked with horses but it's slowly coming back to me. It's just nice to ride again and to have that project work on. The girls like to ride, Wyatt not so much hehe. Rylie is going to be my little rider, she is completely fearless, very comfortable around them and loves horses. she just lights up around them and I love seeing that in her.
