It's strange how random events, good or bad bring people into your life. The hospital put me in a two person room up on the surgery recovery floor. The first night I was there my roommate kept me up. She was moaning and crying, and no pain meds seemed to help. The bathroom was on her side of the room, so when I got up to use it I tried to keep my eyes forward not looking at her, to give her privacy. Instead if feeling compassion for this woman who was obviously in pain, I was mad and annoyed. The next day she got her pain under control, and we started to chat. I got up to use the bathroom and really looked at her for the first time. Instantly I just wanted to hug her. This woman who I was annoyed with for keeping me awake, was someone's mom, grandma, sister and wife. How selfish I was! Not having compassion for some one in horrible pain. Just thinking of myself and getting my sleep. What if that was my mom or grandma? Once we got to talking we just hit it off and her husband was as sweet as she was. This really helped me open my eyes. Every person is somebody's someone. They are loved as you love your own. People, even strangers should be treated with compassion, kindness and respect. Thank you Miss Wanda for showing me this. I can show my children and hand this gift down to them.
My tummy tuck is healing very well. I still can't stand up completely straight or lay down completely flat but I'm getting there! I have gone from what seemed like 50 pillows to just 2. I can sleep on my sides and move around with out pain. As soon as the infection started to go away I didn't really need the pain meds any more. The swelling has gone down a lot! I'm seeing my hips and waist again! I do have little dog ears on the ends of my incision but my doc said he can just snip them off if they don't go down. Still can't lift kids ;( miss picking up my babies!
Last Friday Samantha started getting a temp and didn't feel good. She quickly broke out in a rash from head to foot. Guess what? Hand foot and mouth virus had found our quadlings. We tried to keep her separate from the other three but it was too late, they were all infected. Brae, Rylie and Wyatt broke out in the rash and got a fever. The girls just had little dots all over their body, Wyatt however had huge blisters. We took him to the er because his rash was so severe and he couldn't stop crying. Poor boy. The doc said he has a very severe case we just have to ride this out. They couldn't do much more for him other than what we already had been doing. This is such a nasty virus!!!! So we have been taking a lot of oatmeal baths, lots of Benadryl, and Iv lost count of how many bottles of infants Advil and acetaminophen we have gone through. Luckily every one is back to normal now. Us adults are just pooped out over here.
I have started selling ItWorks products and I'm so excited to get my business going. I realized awesome the wraps were when we were home in California and I couldn't fit in my maid of honor dress for Rianes wedding. I did two wraps, got amazing results and lost several inches in less that two weeks and kept them off. Awesome product guys! Ill post more about it later! im the mean time you can check out my webpage at quadmama.myitworks.com
That's terrible! The infection must've frustrated you a lot. I'm just glad that it's over now. I hope you never have to go through anything like that again. Anyway, it's amazing how a stranger could be a new friend. You were very compassionate after that fleeting realization you had. The tummy tuck really did look like it healed very well. I'm sure everything is better now, but do keep us updated. All the best! :)

That must’ve been a scary experience for you. Thankfully, you were rushed immediately to the hospital and was able to receive the proper treatment. I just hope that that was the last time it happened. Anyway, I wish you a smooth and swift recovery!
