ItWorks independent Distributor
I love my new job!!! I have recently became a ItWorks Independent Distributor! I get to assist people to make healthier choices and improve their physical appearance! I love my the company, I love helping people and I love their products! I fell in love with ItWorks and their most poplar product the Ultimate Body Applicator the very first time I used it.
It was in September when we went home to California to go to Rianes wedding. I was her maid of honer and ordered my dress with out trying it on. Well.... Once we got home and I was able to put it on I found out it didn't fit!! The wedding was in less than two weeks and I had to loose several inches to make that dress zip up! After freaking out for a bit I remembered those wrap things I had been hearing about. I asked around and found a distributor so I went for it! I was very skeptical, hoping I was not about to waste my money. Before the woman wrapped me she asked me for my phone, told me I would want before and after pics and snapped a few shots. I'm so happy she took those pics because the next day I could easily see a huge difference! Not only did it tighten and lift my flabby left over quad belly skin but I lost several inches and rocked that dress!!!! That how easy it is folks!!! Seriously! Wrap, tighten and tone all in as little as 45 minutes! I knew right there that I needed to sell these products! I needed to share the awesomeness!!! Apparently it's a great way to earn extra income! What a awesome perk! Ha, I just wanted to share these amazing products! I'm just so excited!! I finally have a way to contribute financially to our family while still being a full time mom! I have been using our ItWorks defining gel on my belly and it is really helping with my swelling. I have been wrapping Andy and are looking forward to posting his before and after results. With using the wraps, defining gel, greens and fat fighters he has lost 15 lbs in 3 weeks! So awesome! What's the catch? You have to drink water and stay away from salty foods while your wrapping. Doesn't sound too bad huh? How long do the results last? As long as you let them! If you take care of your body, your results are there to stay. Like any weight loss if you eat junk and don't take care of yourself you will gain the weight right back! If you would like to try some of these amazing products and get them at loyal customer pricing or would like more info click on the ItWorks link on the top right side of my blog to go to my webpage. If you would like to become a distributor please email me check my webpage for more info! Get started on a healthier you!!!

Almost 4 Weeks post op
Well... What have we been up to?? So remember my nasty drain? Well it was infected and landed me in the hospital for a few days last week. The infection was near my incision and was causing pain, redness and swelling. It sucked. I had no idea I felt so bad until I started feeling better. While i was in the hospital I did what seems like round after round of antibiotics, and I'm still taking them in pill form! Ugh not fun! I started feeling better after a few days and would say I'm pretty much back to normal now.
It's strange how random events, good or bad bring people into your life. The hospital put me in a two person room up on the surgery recovery floor. The first night I was there my roommate kept me up. She was moaning and crying, and no pain meds seemed to help. The bathroom was on her side of the room, so when I got up to use it I tried to keep my eyes forward not looking at her, to give her privacy. Instead if feeling compassion for this woman who was obviously in pain, I was mad and annoyed. The next day she got her pain under control, and we started to chat. I got up to use the bathroom and really looked at her for the first time. Instantly I just wanted to hug her. This woman who I was annoyed with for keeping me awake, was someone's mom, grandma, sister and wife. How selfish I was! Not having compassion for some one in horrible pain. Just thinking of myself and getting my sleep. What if that was my mom or grandma? Once we got to talking we just hit it off and her husband was as sweet as she was. This really helped me open my eyes. Every person is somebody's someone. They are loved as you love your own. People, even strangers should be treated with compassion, kindness and respect. Thank you Miss Wanda for showing me this. I can show my children and hand this gift down to them.
My tummy tuck is healing very well. I still can't stand up completely straight or lay down completely flat but I'm getting there! I have gone from what seemed like 50 pillows to just 2. I can sleep on my sides and move around with out pain. As soon as the infection started to go away I didn't really need the pain meds any more. The swelling has gone down a lot! I'm seeing my hips and waist again! I do have little dog ears on the ends of my incision but my doc said he can just snip them off if they don't go down. Still can't lift kids ;( miss picking up my babies!
Last Friday Samantha started getting a temp and didn't feel good. She quickly broke out in a rash from head to foot. Guess what? Hand foot and mouth virus had found our quadlings. We tried to keep her separate from the other three but it was too late, they were all infected. Brae, Rylie and Wyatt broke out in the rash and got a fever. The girls just had little dots all over their body, Wyatt however had huge blisters. We took him to the er because his rash was so severe and he couldn't stop crying. Poor boy. The doc said he has a very severe case we just have to ride this out. They couldn't do much more for him other than what we already had been doing. This is such a nasty virus!!!! So we have been taking a lot of oatmeal baths, lots of Benadryl, and Iv lost count of how many bottles of infants Advil and acetaminophen we have gone through. Luckily every one is back to normal now. Us adults are just pooped out over here.
I have started selling ItWorks products and I'm so excited to get my business going. I realized awesome the wraps were when we were home in California and I couldn't fit in my maid of honor dress for Rianes wedding. I did two wraps, got amazing results and lost several inches in less that two weeks and kept them off. Awesome product guys! Ill post more about it later! im the mean time you can check out my webpage at quadmama.myitworks.com

Week 1 post tummy tuck
Today is my post op appt, I'm 6 days out from surgery. I so ready to get these drains out, honestly they are the worst part of all this! They snag easy, any time you move they hurt. now mine are leaking at the drain site, it's just nasty. I haven't had much drainage lately so hopefully they will remove them today. Over the past few days I have been able to layback further and walk around more, just a overall better range of movement. Yesterday was my best day so far, my pain was pretty low. I even went down stairs! ...I also discovered almost all my tadpoles were dead because my care takers weren't feeding them... The swelling on the incision has gone down a bit but my abdominal area is generally swollen. So awesome looking at my before and after pics! Lol my recent pics make me look so tan, pretty sure it's a mixture of the lighting and left over iodine. Makes me want to go out and lay in huge sun after I'm all healed up though!
The kiddos are doing pretty good. It's so hard not being a mama right now. Emotionally this is the hardest part of recovery. Just sitting down watching other people care for your children while you are in bed. They cry and you can't go to them. They open their arms to you and you can't hold them. It's just temporary, I know, a few weeks and everything will be back to normal. But while your down and hurting what else makes you feel better than a warm hug form your little baby! Or just to sit and cuddle! It breaks my heart, but really only a few more weeks and I'll be back to normal! Poor Wyatt is getting his bottom molars and is just miserable.
My post op appt went well. Doc cleared me to start walking around more. I had the bandage and drains removed. Those things were causing most of my pain! I'm so happy to have them out and feel like a new woman! My belly is still very swollen. My thighs are even swollen! Every day I am able to sleep a little better by getting closer to laying flat on my back. The first few days I sat up almost exactly like sleeping in a upright chair. I would wake up with horrible headaches from being upright for so long. Now I'm down to just a few pillows. Why do I need to sleep this way? They removed so much skin and stretched it so tight that it needs to stretch out a little more to allow me to stand up straight or lay down completely flat. Sounds crazy, but it's normal.

Yuck! My nasty drain! TMI Alert!
I Andy and I stayed up a little late to watch a redbox movie. I went to use the bathroom and noticed (TMI Alert) pus like goop ozing from my drain site! I had my drain out 4 days ago and it had been scabed over. The drain area and up to my incision had been hard and painful for days, not nearly as painful as when the drain was in but close. My doc told me it was not infected and I had nothing to worry about. Any way me being me I squeezed the area and more came out. So I drained as much as I possibly could from the area. Yuck! There was a ton, it just kept coming! The color and texture changed to a more normal looking fluid and we covered it with gauz. The pain and hard/swollen areas are gone! What the heck was all that about? Major fluid build up that needed to be drained? Pus? Infection?? I'm freaking out a little hoping it's not infected. We probably didn't need to do this but we called the plastic surgeon on call at our hospital. I feel bed now because we are going to wake up some poor doc to tell him about my oozing drain site, just so he can tell me to call my doc in the morning. I can't believe that was what was causing all that pain for the past few days.

Recovery day 2-3
Uggghh I feel like crap! My belly hurts all over. The incision, the muscles and I believe I'm becoming so swollen my belly band is just making everything worse. I would love to just lay down flat right now. I itch all over, a shower just sound amazing right now! It's hard not being able to pick up or hold my babies. Braelynn and I got to have a little bit of cuddle time this morning. I thought I would enjoy this down time but it's pretty boring! Today I woke up early this morning with a horrible migraine. I have never had a headache that bad, I almost had to throw up. That would of been horrible throwing up with my belly like this ugh. I think I had been sitting up for too long so I leaned my bed back a little more. Well today is the day I get to see my new belly!!! Yay! And finally after three days I get to shower! I'm so itchy and just feel grose a shower is exactly what I need! I'm a little nervous to take off my band and see what it all looks like.
Ok so here's my 3 day post op belly! It's soooo swollen! My new belly button is under the white bandage. I'm still hunched over and can't sit or stand up straight. My back muscles are getting tight from being stuck in this position for so long. I am able to lay back a little further in bed than I have been so I'm hoping to sleep a little better tonight. I'm really missing chasing around the kiddos :( they get to come and cuddle a little bit with me in bed but they get bored quick. I do feel like a new woman after taking a shower (sponge bath) and Andy washing my hair this morning!
I was so itchy and just felt like poo! Andy picked me up a bath chair last night, I'm glad he did because there's no way that I could of stood that long. I think the next thing we will look for is a detachable shower nozzle. Today I'm just sore, it's not a horrible overwhelming pain but it hurts. I can really feel the tightness around my incision. It's extremely uncomfortable and a little scary because I'm not sure if I'm stretching it too much. The doc said I would feel this so I'm sure it's normal. I have post op check up next week, on Andy's birthday with my auntie Riane flying in that morning! My belly band was very uncomfortable on my skin so I put it over my shirt and that has helped with the irritation. It's still itchy and since I will be wearing this for a while I'm thinking about using some soft material to make a cover for it. This may be tmi but i think a lot of my discomfort is from not having a bowl movement yet :( I knew this could happen from the pain meds, it was horrible after my c section so I started taking stool softeners ahead of time for this surgery. Well apparently nothing I have tried so far has worked! Ugh, not fun. Other than that issue it's really been helping me to lay a heavy folded blanket (I took it from the hospital) and a pillow on my belly. The added pressure helps. That's about all that's going on with tummy tuck issues over the past few days! A few things I'm looking forward to this week... My new camera will get here! Yay! I finally have a real camera and not just a iPhone or iPad! I love taking pictures, epically of my family and now I can take good quality ones! We are finally going to get the hitch installed on our van and the car carrier mount to haul around our quad stroller! This is huge for me! Iv always had to use our two double strollers if I had to take the kids somewhere by myself. It's a pain loading, unloading and pushing two strollers, I'm so excited to finally use our runabout!

My awesome diy shade cover lol! I have also found a REAL shade cover to add onto our stroller! Finally! Any one out there with triplets or more I highly recommend these strollers. They are easy to push, heavy duty and made by a family owned business.
